Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) as a national initiative of Department of Information Technology (DIT), Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India. C-DAC is the first Government Lab that has expanded its horizons globally.
The courses are offered through a network of Authorized Training Centres (ATC's) as well as C-DAC's own centers. Around quarter million students passed out since inception in last decade and a half. They are today successful employees of many Multinational and Premier Indian IT companies, and many of them have become successful entrepreneurs
To partly bridge the demand-supply gap, we, at Thakur Institute of Career Advancement (TICA), one of the Authorized Training Center of CDAC, Pune at Mumbai is conducting PG Diploma in VLSI Design (DVLSI) - 6 months, PG Diploma in Embedded Systems and Design (DESD) - 6 months, PG Diploma in Advanced Computing (DAC) - 6 months (full time Program), Diploma in Embedded Programming (DEP) - four months program, and Diploma in Advanced Software Development Methodologies (DASDM) - nine months program.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Computing (DAC) is the flagship programme of ACTS. The course is targeted towards engineers and IT professionals who wish to venture into the domain of advanced computing. The course aims to groom the students to enable them to work on current technology scenarios as well as prepare them to keep pace with the changing face of technology and the requirements of the growing IT industry. The course curriculum has been designed keeping in view the emerging trends in advanced computing as well as contemporary and futuristic human resource requirements of the ICT industry. The entire course syllabus, courseware, teaching methodology and the course delivery have been derived from the rich research and development background of C-DAC. The depth and width of the course is unique in the industry covering a wide spectrum of requirements of the ICT industry. Realizing the growth of embedded systems in day-to-day life and the need for trained manpower in this promising area, C-DAC has launched a Diploma in Embedded Systems Design (DESD) for Engineers in computers, electronics and IT. Embedded Systems is a unique field, where engineers need to have sound knowledge in hardware and software design. Keeping this aspect in view, C-DAC has designed the diploma giving equal emphasis to hardware and software, enabling engineers to face challenges in the design and development of state of the art embedded systems. The latest curriculum includes a module on wireless embedded systems design, specifically focusing on wireless technologies and Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN).
The Post Graduate Diploma in VLSI Design programme (DVLSI) is a 24 weeks full time course consisting of seven modules, with an evaluation at the end of each module. This programme is focused to develop the practical knowledge on VLSI desing and verification using RTL Coding and verification tools.
Diploma in Embedded programming (DEP) is 12-weeks full-time course with Systematic Evaluation through out the course. Realizing the growth of embedded systems in day-to-day life and the need for trained manpower in this promising area, DEP Programme is designed and implemented for Engineers in computers, electronics and IT by the industry experts.
The Diploma in Advanced Software Development Methodologies (DASDM) course is targeted towards students who wish to venture into the domain of computing. The DASDM course aims to groom the students to enable them to work on current technology scenarios as well as prepare them to keep pace with the changing face of technology and the requirements of the growing IT industry. After the completion of the course, students can work as software developer, programmer, tester, System Analyst and the like, in the IT industry and associated service sectors.
